Traditionally bed bugs have been eradicated with chemical sprays and powders that slowly kill bed bugs on contact. After witnessing countless allergic reactions, and negative heath effects in various news articles the innovators at AZEX developed a way to kill bed bugs quickly, affordably, and IMPROVE the air quality in your home, all at the same time!
Introducing Azex SteriHeat
The Azex SteriHeat process uses filtration which is essential for indoor air quality. The owner of AZEX believes that indoor airborne particulates generated by convective heating processes, such as most bed bug heat treatments, require the use of engineering control, specifically filtration, to manage the aerosol. This is an integral part of the AZEX SteriHeat process and should be a standard in all bed bug heat remediation efforts where a convective process is used.

The method around this popular DIY bed bug treatment is to sprinkle baking soda around the bed bug infested areas. After a few days you should vacuum the baking soda up and repeat the process until all the bed bugs are dead. The baking soda is believed to absorb into the surface fluids on the outer layer of the bed bug’s shell and cause them to become dehydrated.
Imagine having everything you own in garbage bags throughout your house. You can’t sit on your furniture without getting up with MORE bites. Sleeping is nearly impossible; every time you lay down you feel tiny legs crawling over your body (even when they aren’t there). This is the tale of a bed bug infestation. Bed bugs are notoriously known for being hard to eliminate and coming back time and time again, often causing psychological effects on the residents of the infested home. Some people joke about “bed bug PTSD”, but it may be truer than you might think.
Dogs have been used for their wide range of smelling abilities for decades. From drug to bomb detection, k-9 units are an essential tool in many law enforcement efforts. Some species of canines have been shown to contain over 300 million scent receptors in their nose (compared to humans 30 million). These scent receptors help them track scents in the rain, mud, and snow while distinguishing even the smallest differences.

A recent article published in a Hollywood newspaper outlined a terrible tale of a severe bed bug infestation that plagued a senior assisted living facility, which ultimately resulted in a $15,000 fine. A pest control company found over 4,000 live bed bugs in the 20 room facility, which was recorded in the state records. The deeply disturbing infestation was left untreated for an extended time, most likely months on end, which allowed it to grow into an extreme level. A local exterminator was able to solve the problem and the facility will remain open. State officials required the resignation of one of the owners.
Bed Bugs HATE heat; it’s a well-known fact in the pest control world. While more and more pest professionals are offering heat treatments to rid homes and businesses of bed bugs, AZEX is taking it one step further with their revolutionary STERIHEAT process.
Get the Facts:
SteriHeat treatments are a 1 time treatment that have an active treatment time of 6-8 hours.
Set up and tear down are included in the treatment times – meaning your home or business will be operational after just one full work day!
Weather conditions, such as rain, wind or snow won’t effect the treatment accuracy.
Many people and unaware of the bed bug risk that is present all around them. While most people would agree that bed bugs are most commonly found in hotels/motels, they don’t know that they could just as easily find bed bugs on their way to work, in their leisure time or in the classroom. Finding out you have a bed bug problem is bad enough, but when those same bed bugs start hurting you and your family’s health the problem quickly turns dangerous. It has been proven that bed bugs cannot transmit blood borne illnesses, which leads many to believe that their bites are harmless. Unfortunately, this is not the case for all families. Bed bug infestations cause a variety of health issues, not to mention the risks that are associated with their extermination. Many extermination methods leave harmful chemicals behind which can cause serious health issues.
